Future of Biodiversity and Climate Change

This track will ask participants to consider: What is the role of science centers and science museums in the race to combat the causes and the most harmful effects of climate change? What steps can science centers and science museums take to raise awareness of the biodiversity crash now underway? How might science centers and science museums move from information delivery to engaging more people and communities in taking action and having a voice in responding to these challenges? What are promising examples of local dialogues, collaborations, partnerships, and ecosystems—in which science centers can lead or play a key part—that are yielding positive outcomes in the face of these dire global trends?
